United Way Annual Campaign

United Way turns your single charitable donation into a true community-building gift. Find out how you can participate!

How can you make a single contribution, and help our whole community?  By donating to United Way.

The United Way of the Midlands annual campaign is the metro area's single largest fundtraising drive. More than 1,100 organizations and 80,000 donors participate in the campaign; it supports nearly 150 vital health and human service programs in United Way's Community Care Fund,  a "safety net" of services for the people of Douglas and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska and Pottawattamie County in Iowa. Our 2009 Campaign Chairs are Rex and Deb Fisher; Rex is CEO of Qwest Nebraska.

With partners old-and-new, United Way's Impact Initiatives are focusing on the building blocks of a good life in the Omaha-Council Bluffs-Bellevue metro: a quality education, a stable income, and good health.

Your United Way donation also supports the 2-1-1 hotline. Callers dial that number 24 hours a day, to connect with the available local programs that might best meet their specific needs: rent or utility bill help, finding support groups, locating child care/senior services and more.

In addition, United Way connects people with meaningful community service projects, through the Volunteer Resource Center.

The United Way of the Midlands Campaign runs from late August through the first week in November each year.

It is an important part of the LIVE UNITED experience...so we can all make a lasting impact on the strength of our community!
