Throughout the year, there are special days set aside to celebrate community service. The goal: to involve adults and young people in projects that help people and organizations in need...and to foster a greater sense of "community." 

Talk about some great ways to LIVE UNITED!

Here are some of the annual "days of service" that United Way of the Midlands coordinates locally:

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day  -  Third Monday in January
National Youth Service Day  -  Late April   (send an email to us for more information!)
Join Hands Day  -  First Saturday in May   (send an email to us for more information!)

Day of Caring  -  Late August/Early September   (it will be Thursday Sept. 2, 2010!  send an email for info!)

One Day's Pay  -  Mid September
Make a Difference Day  -  Last Saturday in October    (Find or register a project with this link!)
Family Volunteer Day  -  Mid November   (send an email to us for more information!)
