Several awards will be given to individuals and organizations that make a positive and measurable impact on the Omaha-Council Bluffs-Bellevue community throughout the year. Richard Holland will be recognized as United Way’s "Citizen of the Year." BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska will receive the Community Service Award. Two organizations will be given Chair’s Partnership Awards: Legal Aid of Nebraska and Two Men and a Truck. Lamson, Dugan and Murray LLP will receive special recognition for its long-time commitment to United Way of the Midlands. The total amount raised in the 2009 United Way fundraising drive will also be announced.
