Recovery Help for Haiti

United Way Worldwide members in the Caribbean region have mobilized their staff, volunteer leaders and resources in response to the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12. Reports indicate there are thousands dead, thousands injured; many homes and buildings have been destroyed. If you're looking for a way to help the survivors rebuild their communities,  you can donate to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund.  You can also text HAITI to 864833 (UNITED), to make a $5 donation. (The charge will appear on your cell phone bill. Standard text messaging rates apply.)

Though we're thousands of miles away, we can help people affected by the quake. Gifts to the UW Disaster Fund support long-term recovery efforts to rebuild lives and infrastructure devastated by disasters like the earthquake, and to address educational, financial and health-related challenges.
