Looking for a way to show your community support, have a little fun AND take in a great view?
Come help us form a human chain across the Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:30 a.m., at the Kickoff for the 2009 United Way Campaign and Day of Caring volunteer projects. It’s a show of support for local health & human services, and for all who volunteer to keep our community strong. 2009 Campaign Chairs Rex and Deb Fisher will be our hosts.
ACTION ITEM:
We’ll also be collecting personal/hygiene items for local shelters (there's a list of items below...) Look for our drop-off site near the Bridge entrance right on Riverfront Drive that day!

The elderly and disadvantaged will find free tax preparation and free e-file at a number of sites around the metro Omaha area, through April 15, 2009, sponsored by the Omaha EITC Coalition. Many of the sites will also offer services that will help people become more financially stable in the future. |
