United Way's Youth Leadership Committee, made up of high school students from the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area, will celebrate this special day of service at the "Salute To Safety Fair" at Westroads Mall. YLC members will be collecting gently-used and new children’s books to donate to the homeless shelters. They want the children in the shelters to be able to have their own books to hold on to and read. We will also have face painting. Thanks to Two Men and A Truck, who will supply the boxes for the book collection.   The YLC team will count and divide the books and deliver them to local shelters on May 8.
