United Way's annual luncheon honors hundreds of people who donate their time - find out more about it!
During National Volunteer Week, in late April of each year, volunteers in our community are honored at the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, sponsored by United Way of the Midlands' Volunteer Center. There are several dozen award categories, including volunteer service to Youth, the Elderly, Cultural projects and more. Selections are made by an impartial community volunteer-selection committee. An adult and youth finalist will be chosen in each individual category. All individual nominations submitted will also be considered for "Special Categories" –Volunteer of the Year, Volunteen of the Year and Leota G. Norton Community Service Award. You may nominate as many volunteers as you desire; nominating them is a very special way of recognizing their generous service. Nominations are accepted from late January through mid-March each year.
If you have any questions about the big awards luncheon, please send us an e-mail!
