-- At the very least, a home delivered meal provides daily nutrition to the recipient. But more than once, it has also saved a life. Mark, a meal volunteer, arrived at "Bob’s" house and found he had fallen. Bob hadn’t been able to get to a phone to call for help, so Mark’s visit was critical to his safety. Bob spent some time in the hospital, but when he returned home he had a simple but powerful message for Mark: thanks for being there in my time of need.
