MICAH House -- A serious illness and financial problems left Joe and his sons without a place to live. His wife, and the boys’ mother, had died several years before. United Way partner MICAH House offered Joe and the boys shelter, and the boys could get homework help and have some good old fashioned after-school fun at a nearby Boys and Girls Club, also in the United Way network. Eventually, the shelter staff helped Joe move his family into transitional housing, so they could begin to rebuild their life…start a new, independent future. Thanks for helping United Way and two great partners make a difference for them.
