When women come to the Women's Center for Advancement, they often need help overcoming the barriers they face as they try to get out of dangerous situations.  The domestic violence and sexual assault counseling program gives them the tools they need to overcome their aggressors by teaching them to be self sufficient.  The Center also helps find safe shelter while encouraging them economically by offering career counseling and advancement options.  See how one woman received the assistance she needed to get back on her feet:
